As Manager – Strategy, Marketing & Communications, Carmen Johnson is a dedicated and experienced strategist with a demonstrated history of working in the AEC industry. Carmen’s effective communication is paramount, especially when it comes to collaborating on design projects. Her clear and concise approach ensures that all parties involved understand the project vision and goals. She works closely with the architects and designers to ensure that the MdeAS brand and identity are consistent and threaded across different channels.

Carmen joined MdeAS as an architectural designer, and her experience lends itself to a greater understanding of design and broader firm goals. With a primary focus on the redevelopment of PENN 2, she explored various design programs and navigated complex design solutions. She brings this insight and understanding to every project, crafting a distinct brand and narrative to connect with different audiences.

Carmen holds an M.Arch II from Cornell University, specializing in Architecture + Discourse, reflecting her commitment to expanding architecture’s impact through effective messaging and community engagement. Her work underscores the importance of those skills in architectural practice, aligning with industry standards and addressing areas for improvement in design communications and brand positioning.
