At the foot of the Queensboro Bridge in Long Island City rises a gracefully curving building clad in a sheer glass curtainwall. This is the first phase of a 4 building, 3.5 million SF mixed-use master plan of office and residential towers for Tishman Speyer. Split in half by Jackson Avenue, subtle elliptical curves unify the two halves of the complex. Incorporating green building technology, the first phase achieved LEED Gold certification for its core and shell and houses the NYC Department of Health and Human Services.
