Intermediate Designer

We are seeking an Intermediate Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate has a professional degree, 3-5 years of experience, and the motivation to work within a collaborative and design-intensive environment.
Job Responsibilities
Reviews drawings and other project information to write and edit specifications for projects and coordinates compliance with project requirements, institutional guidelines, technical conditions, acceptable standards, and existing laws, rules, regulations and codes;
Performs product research and assist project designers with material selection and system research;
Provides quality management reviews and technical advice in design development through construction document phases;
Provides continual development and improvements of firm’s master specifications and Revit standards;
Assists project architects with shop drawings;
Coordinates and reviews consultant technical specifications with firm’s standards;
Coordinates with consultant specifications;
Coordinates hardware, partition, door and material schedules;
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and produce results within deadline.
Qualifications
NAAB accredited Architecture Degree, or higher
3-5 years postgraduate experience in an architectural setting; NYC experience preferred
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, 3D modeling and rendering software (Rhino, Enscape, V-Ray) MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite
Demonstrates practical knowledge of building materials, detailing, construction techniques, building systems selection, related engineering principles, and building codes
Knowledge of the overall project process from design through construction
Knowledge of construction procedures and schedules
Knowledge of specs and drawing coordination
Candidate must be eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship

Compensation
This is a full-time position, and the salary will be commensurate with experience. The salary range is $70,000 to $80,000. A competitive benefits package includes paid time off, student loan repayment, insurance, fitness & commuter assistance, 401K & many more.
