Kate Perez
Director
Kate Perez is a dynamic and thoughtful leader serving as the Director of Strategy & Operations. With a career spanning nearly 15 years at MdeAS, Kate has been instrumental in shaping the firm into the practice it is today. As Director, she navigates between business development, marketing communications, human resources, and financial management, leading an operational team that supports the architects and designers while aligning with the firm’s goals.
Her expertise in strategy and marketing lays the foundation for Kate’s holistic view of architecture. Promoted to Director of Strategy & Marketing Communication in 2018, Kate is responsible for the acquisition of notable projects and produced the award-winning campaign #MdeASExperience. Now, as Director of Strategy & Operations, she applies her forward-thinking approach to the firm’s strategy to remain agile and competitive in the evolving AEC industry. Kate works closely with the Leadership Team to assess new opportunities, both internally and externally, fostering a business model that propels the firm’s success.
Before joining MdeAS, Kate earned a B.A. in Anthropology and gained experience in curatorial departments across various museums. Her passion for art and the creative process draws her to the discipline of architecture and its craft. Familiar with the industry and its practices, she continuously challenges herself and the team to improve the way we collaborate and innovate in the studio.
