PENN 2 Featured in Modern Steel Construction’s May Issue

PENN 2 was featured with a multi-page spread in Modern Steel Construction's May issue.

PENN 2 was honored with the 2025 IDEAS² Award (Innovative Design in Engineering and Architecture with Structural Steel), presented by the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC). The article describes the bold and elegant engineering behind the transformation of the building, including support for the new addition that hovers above the busiest transportation hub in North America: Penn Station. The innovative solution utilizes sloped columns that rest on the original Pennsylvania’s Station’s foundations below, allowing the trainshed to remain active throughout construction.
