PENN 2 Wins 2025 Vitruvian Award
We’re excited to announce that PENN 2 is the winner of the Adaptive Reuse category of the 2025 Vitruvian Honors & Awards program. Presented by the Facade Tectonics Institute, the program celebrates excellence and innovation in the design and delivery of building facades. The program recognizes outstanding projects, project teams, and individuals who have made exceptional contributions to the design, engineering, fabrication, installation, and lifecycle performance of building envelopes.
The Adaptive Reuse Award recognizes the importance of renovation and reuse of existing buildings, extending their service life to the greatest extent possible while anticipating and accommodating the need for future maintenance, repair, and renovation. The award goes to a deserving building renovation (the adaptive reuse, refit, or modernization of an existing building) in which a significant facade system intervention plays a leading role in the success of the program. Submissions were evaluated in the overarching context of innovation and sustainability, which included diverse considerations ranging from design concepts to project delivery strategies, supply chain management and lifecycle performance attributes.
